VOCAL TEACHING

A twenty year veteran of the teaching field, and one of the pioneers of modern vocal instruction techniques in Asia, Teresa Carpio has taught many of the city's top artists, guiding them with her years of professional knowledge both as an artist and a teacher.
Known as the vocal coach to the stars, Teresa Carpio is unique amongst vocal coaches in that she still performs round the world in front of audiences in the thousands and her voice is as powerful and sure now as it was in her twenties.
Using her own vocal techniques, combined with her own experiences when she lost her voice in the early Nineties and for the first time visited a vocal coach, she quickly found she was able to help artists like herself, starting with her first student Sandy Lam Yik Lin (林憶蓮) who came to her for six months straight prior to her inaugural solo concerts.
Other artists followed quickly: Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), Gigi Leung (梁詠琪), Wong Cho Lam ( 王祖藍) Jade Kwan (關心妍), Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝), Joey Yung (容祖兒), Edmund Leung (梁漢文), Twins, among others.
Teresa quickly became known as the person to seek out for help with live performances, so many artists sought her out for her technique, training and unique inside knowledge on performance.
Today, one does not have to be a celebrity to take lessons with Teresa Carpio. She has been active all round communities in Canada, Hong Kong and the USA bringing her love of singing and teaching to young and old alike.
